Dear Me: "Life is full of tough moments, you have to FIGHT for what you want." Is what my mother would always tell me, and yet things aren't exactly going the way I expected. If this is God's timing then it's going pretty slow.

I wrote this recently in my Literature class at school. I have edited it so there should be no grammar, spelling, or conventional mistakes. However, I am still learning so, please be kind with your comments. If you don't like my writing just leave and find something else that you would prefer. The premise of this piece was a video we watched in class where famous women gave advice to their younger selves. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AbqT_ubkT0Y. The hope was that people who were currently going through the same thing would find their advice helpful. I decided to write multiple notes to my younger self at different difficult times in my life. They start when I am five and continue to present day. I hope that you can find some advice to apply in your life through these letters. PSA - I understand that these "difficulties" are rather small in comparison to what other people deal with. I am in no way looking for sympathy. I realize that I have been very privileged in the life that I live and all the opportunities I have received. Knowing that, I wanted to write out some of my struggles in a readable form so I could understand more of the stress that I am going through and to show myself what I have already accomplished. In doing so I realized that maybe others could learn some helpful tips and tricks too. I hope you enjoy and get something out of this.

A short self-help sort of book that contains a list of things a male specimen should know how to do, or know about, by the time they are fifteen years old. * It has a long title but little content. Its content is heavily opinion-based, but you can always influence me if you try hard enough. :) ***** Photo by Steve Halama on Unsplash: https://unsplash.com/@steve3p_0?utm_source=unsplash&utm_medium=referral&utm_content=creditCopyText

This is the third in a series of interactive journals designed to help people grow personally, spiritually, and possibly even professionally. There is a daily message that contains a motivational quote, a Bible verse, a vocabulary word, and a message I write personally. Hopefully they're written and compiled in a way you find inspiring or motivational. But the key to what makes it work are the daily journaling questions. There are six questions at the end of every message. They stay the same, but you might find your answers to them change over time. They're simple questions, but living in a way that helps you improve your answers to them will change your life. I hope you decide to try it out, and if you do decide to try it out, I pray you won't be disappointed. Thanks, Jake.

This is the fourth part of a project called the "Daily Self Growth Journal." Its purpose is to prompt readers to journal through encouragement, motivation, and inspiration. In it, the first thing I do is provide a motivational, or inspirational quote from someone noteworthy. Then I provide a verse from the Bible, the source of God's wisdom. Then a vocabulary word to ponder. If you're not bored yet, feel free to read the message I include and see what you think. But the most important part is the role you take. That is to journal what's going on in your life. It's easy, just answer the daily journaling questions provided. The whole process shouldn't take much more than 5 minutes of your time, but I hope and pray those five minutes a day will change your life. Thanks, Jake

This story is intended to be a tool for the growth of whoever wants to use it. It is a daily journal intended to help us be more introspective. Every day I will do my best to supply a motivational quote, a Bible verse, a vocabulary word, and a personal message from myself. Use these if you like as motivation to improve yourself. Then, simply answer the daily questions provided honestly and see if it has an impact on your life. Zig Ziglar said, "If you don't have daily objectives, you qualify as a dreamer." Lets not be just dreamers but doers. Remember Martin Luther King Jr not only had a dream, he also had an objective. Thanks for reading, Jake
