A Zuko X Reader story. As always, I wrote this for myself but you can read it, too, if you'd like. Y/N was an air bender, she was tasked with watching over the avatar as a punishment for something that she had done; something that the air nomads frowned upon her for. When she discovered what had become of her people, she was furious- but not at the Fire Nation, she was furious at Aang, because Aang was supposed to protect them, and he didn't. But was it Aang that she was really angry at?

Water and fire are never to mix. The flames would be extinguished, and the water would be boiled. Either way, it is a dangerous affair to attempt to mix these two elements together. So when the exiled prince of the Fire Nation arrives at a small Southern Water Tribe Village in an attempt to capture any remaining waterbenders. The prince finds an ambitious and proud learning waterbender. Who sacrifices his freedom for the betterment of those around him.
