Due to loss of a family member back when he was very young, Patrick had become mute and hardly spoke for himself, thus causing a lack of friendship and a social life. At this school it affects him greatly as he faces the vulgar lashes of many people. But then Patrick meets Pete Wentz, an extremely well-known socialite with a rough attitude. But underneath those layers of being socially aware, Pete is also very caring, this demeanor masked by his popularity. Patrick snaps one day while at school and hurts another student, causing him to be sent to juvy where he meets an interestingly troubled boy by the name of Pete Wentz.

Patrick needs some help to get the evil voice out of his head. Pete is a cop who, as much as he knows he shouldn't, tries to help Patrick out.

Pete Wentz and Patrick Stump have been friends since as long as they can remember. Ever since first grade Pete's been simultaneously bugging Patrick and looking after him. Now they're older though not much has changed, but recently it seems Patrick doesn't need looking after anymore.

Patrick's a depressed and suicidal kid that has a low self esteem and social anxiety. He's quiet in school and he just doesn't like to really go out. He has only one friend that stood by him and never betrayed or left him, that friend is Pete. He listens to Patrick and helps him everyday just like a friend should. But Patrick feels like a burden and he doesn't really open up as much anymore.
