Das nicht nur Severus Snape seine Geheimnisse hat, sondern auch ihr Mann Ron Weasley viel vor ihr versteckt, bringt ihr Leben und auch ihre Liebe zu Severus ziemlich ins Wanken. SS/HG

Hermine Granger macht sich fünf Jahre nach dem Ende des Krieges als Praktikantin wieder auf den Weg nach Hogwarts. Severus Snape, der den Krieg überlebt hat und nun Schulleiter von Hogwarts ist, gefällt das gar nicht. Hermine und Severus geraten ständig aneinander, bis sie merken, dass Emotionen mit unter eine gefährliche Waffe, aber auch ein Ausdruck ihrer Zuneigung sein kann.
