This is a collection of haiku celebrates our annual seasonal changes as well as the seasons of our lives. They're set up 6 haiku to a page... both published & unpublished in Haiku poetry journals. The themes are the seasons: Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter. I do give the chapters a word though each haiku is its own story; the word will hopefully make finding your way easier to remember vs numbered chapters. Though I endeavored to find a word that loosely reminded me of the haikus on the page. Also, you'll note that these aren't structured in the 5 - 7 -5 syllable format we were taught in school. (I briefly explain my reasons below). It is my hope that you'll find moments, images, memories and aha's inside. Thank you for taking the time to share journeys. When (re)learning how to write haiku, as my first batches were being rejected; a few editors were kind enough to share why almost all (dedicated) Japenese form journals didn't take any haiku in the old format. Apparently, the translation between English word syllables to Japanese sound syllables was significant which affected the English haiku negatively. Also, the Japanese haikuists and masters place the importance of the juxtaposition of bridging two moments vs focusing on syllables and word/ line count. This took some adjusting in my thinking but I found a deeper resonance and a greater joy in constructing them. Joy to you lovely reader
