Headcannons for my favorite Pixar movie, Coco! (Cover art does not belong to me)

Sorry, I just watched Coco (again) lately and I have been thinking of a Miguel x Reader. I thought: why not write it here? Disclaimer: I do not own the pictures. I don't own the characters either. Anything that is from the movie I do not own.

What happened in the Land of the Dead while Miguel tried to save his Papá Héctor? Well, a lot of tears and sadness, and a lot of joy and fluff. (I'm bad with summaries if you didn't notice.) !!!!The cover picture is not mine!!!

This is the story behind what happenned in the movie Coco. Many of us know the story about Miguel, the boy who crossed trough the mystical cémpasúchil (flowers) bridge and arrived to the land of the dead with his great great grandfather's guitar, discovering a greater and more beautiful truth than the one that he was looking for. Everyone of us know what Hector really felt his family and the true reason of his death, but, Did you ever asked yourself...What did happenned before the tragedy? Which where the lifes of each one and why did they make the decissions that marked his destiny? Here I bring to you, a little story about the possible lifes that Miguel's ancesters led before their tragic ends. Remember; The principal characters are not mine, instead, they are property of Walt Disney Pictures y Pixar studios. I simply borrowed them for this work. Because of his love for music, Miguel had no friends among his family or anyone that truly understood his love for the guitar. Until he meets Elly, an American girl everyone stays away from because she's a mute. Though it's close to impossible for them to communicate, they're both outcasts with a love for music which brings them together as the closet of friends. And what an adventure awaits them... Ernesto De La Cruz was trapped under a bell for 3 years. By then, people have tourmented him and abused him Mentally. He knew what he did was wrong. He knew what he did was horrible. He was so guilty and upset about it. He just wanted to tell Hector, how much he was sorry. Later on the bell was lifted and found an Ernesto with ripped clothing and cracks on his face. They were surprised he wasn't forgotten yet. So they sent him off to Join the guards to protect the land of the dead from the land of the forgotten! Horrible Creatures who tried to enter the land of the dead. Their souls to be destroyed with powerful swords, made of magic and bone. This is an AU called Guard!Coco. Coco Belongs to Pixar and all the respectful owners. Non of the Characters belong to me except the guards. The concept of this story is based off of coco but originally by me. Miguel Rivera grew up without a father, he only knew him as a small infant but then he left. It was only him, his mom and the rest of his family that resented Miguel's father and music which is what he left for. Now 12, Miguel wants answers and wants to figure out why his father left him.
