Idela's mother passed away, leaving her father to raise ten children alone. Idela is the oldest child, at age sixteen. Her father loses his job, and isn't left with many choices, but choices none the less. He sells Idela to an old, cranky, and cruel man for quite the price. ********************************** "I won't do it!" His hand lands on my face. "You are my property! You will do as I ask you to. He is a very important man." I look at him, and shake my head. "I want to save it for someone special. Someone who will love me for me. I want what my parents had. I don't want to just have sex with a man that I do not know!" Again his hand lands on my cheek. "No man in their right mind could ever love you! Who are you? You are a poor slave girl with no other choice. You are my property. Now, you will do it or I will send you to Big Joe." I gulped. Big Joe was the man that Master Hector hired to whip us. I have been down their many times before, and let me tell you he has no mercy. "Yes, Sir Hector." "Good, now off you go."
