The mattress itself is a foot and a half off the ground. Perfect for a person to hide under. Craig invites Kenny to sleep over for his birthday. Kenny ends up sleeping under the bed. Craig wakes up to crying. He scoots under the bed and lays there with him, comforting him. They both fall asleep. Craig's bed then becomes a safe place. After a bad day, Kenny will walk over and crawl under the bed. Craig's used to it.

Craig seems to be the only one remembering Kenny dying - besides Eric, of course. And after Craig confronts him, Kenny starts hanging out with the stoic boy more. But not everything goes out as what Kenny planned.
