The Witness Protection Program controls everything in their new lives; their jobs, their home, their worlds. But there's one thing they can't control. Phil Lester. When Phil starts snooping into Dan and Louise's past, he not only puts the three of them in danger, but he also risks exposing his two new friends to a terrible threat. It's up to Dan, now James, to protect his new friend and his new identity, until the whole thing blows over and he can go back to being his old self. But Dan will never be the same. Not after Manchester, not after Phil, and definitely not after James.

Dan is quiet and alone, with little faith in his abilities, but with the comfortable and kind-hearted Phil he will learn to flourish in the wizarding world. In a world where everyone has a special ability, a "power", young Dan Howell is alone in having nothing to show for it. He now constantly, obsessively searches for something, anything, that could mean he was different, day after day. But maybe all it takes is a certain Super showing an interest in him to make him truly feel like he doesn't need a power to make him special.

Dan Howell is the Panther. He's evil, nefarious, ingenious, and good at coming up with adjectives for himself. The Raven is a nuisance, but he's definitely the most fun part when it comes to being a villain. As a child, Dan had been scared of his powers. He'd been weak. He'd become strong, though. Strong enough to torment the city; strong enough to annoy the Raven with every opportunity he got. Phil Lester only had one goal these days. To become strong enough to defeat the Panther.
