Descendants 2 takes place 1 year later from the first one. Everyone on the Isle Of The Lost is trying to find a way to get off the island since the barrier is down. The Evil Queen wants them to finish what Mal, Jay, Evie, and Carlos didn't. To get the Fairy Godmothers wand, to release Maleficent, and get the villains off the island.
