The sex industry was a dangerous place, everyone knew that. Sure, it had its perks, but for glamour model Ryan Ross, the only perk was being asked to partake in a photoshoot with gorgeous pornstar Brendon Urie, a man he both hated and admired. That single photoshoot might just have been the detonation that started everything: the lies, the affairs, the heartbreak, the scheming - in order to stay sane, you had to keep your hands to yourself. And for someone like Brendon, it would be the hardest thing he'd ever had to do. Because when you fall, you bring everyone else down with you. "How can you be okay with yourself knowing that you caused all...this?" "I'm never okay with myself, Ryan. Ever." ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

"It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing." * * * The Great Depression was, by far, one of the worst tragedies in the history of the world. People drowned in debt. Banks were ruined. The stock market was broken and unreliable. But one of the only things that kept people going was this new style of music. It was rhythmic, infectious, and something that people had never quite heard of before. So they called it jazz.

Ryan Ross is a world-famous film director. When he needs to hire a photographer to take pictures for his new movie, young wannabe photographer Brendon Urie steps onto the scene. They have polar opposite personalities, but when they run out of gas in the middle of Death Valley, they'll have to learn to work together if they want to survive. ----------- so I've re-edited this entire story (it's taken about four hours wowowoww) and fixed parts that I wasn't happy with or parts with continuity issues that didn't make sense (like all of a sudden brendon has glasses in chapter five? what's up with that, past self?) but yes! not much has changed but if you ever want to re-read or if this is your first time reading, read this one! the first one is mainly there to remind myself how far i've come as a writer, even though it's only been a few short months. also, I still love reading all of your comments on that one; they still make me smile :) love you all!!!

In which Brendon cleans the apartment of published author Ryan Ross to finance his college studies, and Spencer opens up an Indian style café and hires Jon to brew his fair trade coffee. Excerpt: Brendon sorts through Ryan's bathroom utensils while Nirvana is blasting from the speakers in the living room. Two tubes of toothpaste join a peaceful parade next to lip balm, moisturizing cream, aftershave and eyeliner that appears to have dried up. It honestly wouldn't have taken Spencer's insinuation to figure out that Ryan's not entirely straight. To be fair, the lube in the bedroom drawer was a tiny clue, too, and yes, Brendon might have been snooping just a little. Anyone who's in the middle of reading Ryan's book would be curious, and Brendon's especially curious where Ryan hides all the drugs he must have been doing during the writing process, churning out page after page when he was only nineteen. Against the background of Behind the Sea, it's also easier to make sense of the scribbled notes Ryan leaves lying around, the tone and particular way in which Ryan phrases things slightly more familiar. Some of them have Brendon's fingers itching with music. Ryan's writing is even more lyrical when it's torn out of context, isn't bundled up neatly within a chapter. Brendon refrains. It's really not his place to leave a mark like that on things he's merely supposed to straighten up. Link to the original story: http://zarah5.livejournal.com/35320.html

Gerard loves working with kids, Frank is fucking tired. The two meet at the hospital where Gerard works and Frank is admitted. Will Gerard's methods work on older kids too? He's quick to find- and fall in love with- the criminal who crash landed in his room during a quick escape.
