"Make friends with my daughter, and I'll pay you a thousand dollars." Tara's junior year of high school is turned upside down after she collides into the life of Aurora Rosenberg, the autistic teenage heiress to Rosenberg Technologies. Mr. Rosenberg's offer feels wrong... but he says his daughter has no real friends, and Tara's family is desperate for cash. Now what? Tara needs to make this work. It doesn't matter that her best friend moved away. Or that she may lose her house. Or that her other friends no longer like her. Oh, yes: and there's a cute boy involved. And the mystery of why Aurora's dad is so desperate to buy her a friend, when Aurora is hardly a social pariah... As Tara watches pieces of her life fall apart, and new things come together, she must figure out what she values most. Notes: Rated mild PG-13. The discussion space is meant to be friendly and safe for minors. Hate towards people with disabilities, any letter in the LGBTQIAPN+ community, or other groups isn't welcome.

(COMPLETE. A c-punk poetry colllection that's apparently made it to the 2018 Wattys Longlist!) Who says being disabled is the end of the world? I've got tremors and crunchy knees and I'm totally fine! (Except for the fact that this world has got too many staircases, that is. But that's not my fault.) In fact, being disabled is so rad, I'm gonna celebrate it through this poem collection! So what are you waiting for? Grab your mobility aids, readers, and join me and my crutches on a trip you'll never forget! (The definition of "cripple punk" can be found here: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Cripple%20Punk)

I was never popular. Never the captain of any team.  I was pansexual. Of corse nobody knew, espically my perents. I wanted to keep it a secret for some reason.  I also had bipolar disorder. So, life was fuked up for me. I also tried to fit in. Which was a mistake, because I ended up paralyzed in the 8th grade.
