"What the hell?" I took a step closer to the mirror, staring at my reflection in disbelief. The person looking back was still me, but at the same time it wasn't. I had the same thick, dark, curly hair. The same hazel eyes. The same olive skin with a light dusting of freckles (ugh) scattered across the bridge of my nose. But my curls were now streaked with highlights. And not the subtle, golden-brown ones that sometimes appeared during the summer. No, these were an aggressive, dazzling blond that went from the roots of my hair all the way to the tips. It looked like I had spent a full day getting my hair done in some upscale salon. Never mind that I had never set foot in such a place since the day I was born. My eyes appeared somehow wider and more luminous. The colour brighter, my eyelashes darker up against them. And, when I looked closely, my pupils seemed to be slitted almost like a cat. I looked down at my body. My skinny arms-which had always refused to gain any definition no matter how hard I exercised-were lined with flat, wiry muscles. My bony shoulders were now curved and smooth. My scrawny legs were toned like a dancer. I reached down and lifted my shirt, revealing two subtle lines running vertically down my perfectly flat stomach, hinting at the rock-hard abs underneath. My whole body was rippling with strength. Like liquid steel.

A half-moon has passed since Shadecloud received the warning about WindClan from Firestar. When a fire burns through most of WindClan's territory, Ashstar is ready to do anything to get the food her Clan needs, including killing ThunderClan's warriors. How will ThunderClan face this threat, and what will StarClan think?

Sagepaw, Nightpaw, and Timberpaw have all choosen their destinies but there has been an interference. StarClan's prophecy comes in nearer as the three ThunderClan apprentices grow older and more mature. Threats from the Dark Forest hang grimly over the thoughts of the StarClan warriors as the watch the Clans go about their days oblivious to the pending time when the shadowy cats shall strike again. Another danger has fallen across the Clan cats. Bramble, a murderous rogue, is preparing to overthrow the Clans. Was the three cat's choice in their path the right one? Or had they choosen the way to their inevitable doom.

What happens when an ancient feud arises? RiverClan, ShadowClan, ThunderClan, WindClan, and SkyClan are oblivious, completely unaware of the one thing they should be watching. When Badgertuft and Brightkit stumble right into its paws, their ordinary lives are turned upside down. What happens when your enemy leaves you utterly defenseless? ShadowClan's threat still hangs in the air. Lionblaze is trying to keep ThunderClan thriving and Bramblestar isn't helping. The ThunderClan leader has fallen into a deep depression and Lionblaze wonders if the old Bramblestar will ever return. And according to Shadecloud, ShadowClan isn't the biggest threat after all. The biggest threat comes from inside the Clan...where does the endless rivalry end?
