After successfully managing to gain custody of Harry, Remus and Sirius have raised Harry well. He knows that he's loved, and well-treated, and he's friends with Ron and Neville. However, a visit to Gringotts on Harry's tenth birthday to get him confirmed as the heir to the Potter and Black Houses proves that Dumbledore has done something awful to Harry, and they realise they must remain cautious of him. This leads us to Harry's very well-known first year at Hogwarts, but this time with Draco, Neville, and Hermione by his side. ~~~~~~~~~~~ Just a note: Most of the relationships will start to happen in the third book. It's my plan to work through all the canon books. This first one starts out echoing canon very closely, but will become quite AU after the first few books. It's another year at Hogwarts, and it doesn't really seem like a lot has changed. A whole summer had passed since the war between the students and teachers of Hogwarts, against Voldemort and his Death Eaters, meaning that the break was over and it was time to go back to school for muggles, but more importantly, Harry and his two best friends would be returning back to their beloved school of Witchcraft and Wizardry for a final year. However, not all is fine and dandy, seeing as none other than Draco Malfoy and his minions would be returning to the same school also. Some people really don't change, and Draco hasn't in the slightest. Still being the smug, immature boy that he is, he continues to taunt and pick on Harry despite the fact that Harry had once saved his life during the war. But who knows? Maybe hatred isn't really what sits underneath the surface between these two teenage boys. Perhaps Draco just picks on Harry because he wants his attention, he just won't come to that conclusion... The Drarry ship is a completely fanmade and fictional ship which is not canon to the actual story.

Harry starts to notice a change in Draco and soon realizes that Draco needs his help. But will Draco accept it? And even if he does, then what? And what happens when the Dark Lord no longer has Draco to kill Dumbledore? Who will take Draco's place? Follow Harry and Draco on their journey to find trust, friendship, and maybe even love.

Draco Malfoy was breaking apart. The people around him were tearing him to pieces and not bothering to help him put them together again. So Draco fled. He ran away from the things that were braking him and went somewhere no one could find him, somewhere that was safe.
