Octavia is the heir to the throne of Lodgewood, the night she is to be presented to her people she races to the Fringe to discover the guards have been murdered. Octavia walks into a trap and is kidnapped by the enemy on the other side of the Fringe. The Humans. She is forced into an agreement to save her people and get her back home before a civil war takes place. She has to marry the harsh and cold Mr Goodwin. Will she be able to bring herself to do right by her family and people while holding true to herself? Or will she become a shell of her former self in the process of trying to return home?
