Jack's parents had always been strictly religious and left him tainted with memories that will never leave him. He decided to escape to America, leaving behind his home in Ireland in hopes of a better life, but it proves to be a difficult task after he bumps into a man who can't let him leave. Mark has never been normal and tends to have blackouts, where he'd lash out at others and come out of it not knowing what he had done. Realizing this, he tried to stay away from everyone, not wanting to hurt anyone anymore, but it proves to be a difficult task after he runs into someone he can't let go of. gen·o·cide/ˈjenəˌsīd/ noun the deliberate killing of a large group of people, especially those of a particular ethnic group or nation. For years, Americans have been telling themselves a threat was upon them. Ever since terrorist attacks rose here and there, citizens have been on edge and ready to strike back, but they began settling down and shoving off their gut instincts. Then the bombs hit. Jack was working towards his American citizenship one day at a time after moving in with Mark and deciding he could live out his life there with him. While Jack held onto his green card, Mark was helping every way he could, helping Jack study for the test he'd have to take and pass in order to get his citizenship in a few years. Needless to say it was exciting for the friends, who were also edging towards something more. Then the bombs hit. [Cover art is not my own] [Somewhat AU - Contains violence, gore, harsh language.]

Mark's close friend Joseph had just died and Mark didn't know what to do. He had never felt so empty and cold. It was like there was a black hole inside him, sucking away all the light in his life. And Jack ends up in LA to spend time with his American pals and ends up finding a new home trying to rebuild the broken places in Mark. (This is NOT meant to be disrespectful to Mark or Jack or anyone else. This is a fan-made story and is a respectful one and is 100% fiction -though it is based very VERY slightly on an actual event. This is not in any way affiliated with any youtuber I mention, nor is it affiliated w/youtube itself. I post links to all the fanart/videos that I find because none of it is my work. Only the writing is mine.) Please enjoy. Also, the cover image was made for the story by my lovely little Sheepy <3 thank you so much

Mark always knew who he could trust with all his secrets, who would walk with him, and who was out to get him. Being able to read minds had it perks but overall, it kind of sucked. Just having those constant voices in your head, yelling, whispering, just talking. It drove him mad. Mark was still an optimist, no matter what life threw at him. The red-haired kid that you would either see with a smile or a look of impatience, who stayed behind in empty classrooms for three minutes and only having two more minutes to run across the school the next classroom. That was Mark Fischbach, the one not many knew. Jack never knew who he could trust, who he could complain to, who to confine to without being betrayed. He didn't know why he couldn't trust people, he just had trust issues. He was an optimist, though even an optimist had something to complain about so they could remain optimistic. Not wanting to plague others with his deepest secrets that they had to keep or with his flurry of complaints that he had about life. He was the green-haired kid you could always hang out with, the kid that you could ask for help and he would always come through, the kid with the big toothy grin that everyone loved. That was the Sean McLoughlin that everyone knew. Jack didn't know a lot about his life. Who he could trust? Who he could be actual friends with? Who was out to get him? Who actually hated that giant grin on his face and wanted to wipe it clean? Who is the red-haired kid that looks like he's about to explode in the back of the classroom? Why does he want to help Jack? Why does he know that Jack needs help the first place? The Cotton Candy haired boys; Green and red acting as a beacon of that everyone's eyes are drawn to. The Candy Floss haired boys; Red and green catching the attention of passersby no matter the case. The Candy Haired Boys that needed to live for once instead of hiding from the possiblilities in life.

Mark and Jack are your seemingly normal college roommates, until the nights roll around. With power that human nature can't describe, they have to dodge questions and the arched eyebrows of confusion from eachother to keep their secret safe. This story was inspired by an AU- "Two characters are roommates and are hiding the secret of both being superheros. They always come to the dorm beat up and have to make excuses of why they are. They patch eachother up and slowly fall in love." HUGE dedication to my friends on Instagram: @trashymark for helping me plan and pushing my ideas forward @casiiplier for pushing me to write more @FrannieNeedsToHide for this cover! She did an amazing job, check her out for more of her work!

Currently: 42,000+ words Status: Ongoing series Jack didn't ask to move thousands of miles away from home in Ireland, moreover he didn't ask to move to a kingdom that had more problems than it had benefits. Except for his few friends that provided him with a place to stay, he hardly knew anyone or anything that this foreign place had to offer him. Well, he had to admit he was at least somewhat grateful for his job though. Mucking the stables under the King himself wasn't that bad, it could be worse; he didn't mind being outdoors all hours of the day and the pay wasn't half bad...but the package that seems to ride along the tail end has really started to become a nuisance. Mark didn't ask to be born a prince, especially one that was forbidden to step foot outside the castle else he'd disgrace his family. From what? He wasn't sure, but his Mother enforced the rule harshly upon him nonetheless. As he's pushed towards a life he doesn't want, holed up in the prison of a castle with no friends, he'd come to accept that he would never live a normal life. To ease his mind on lonely days, Mark often visited the stables with a bit of help from some sympathetic guards. The old keeper there was kind to him, as were the workers; he found the place to be his little form of temporary escape. But, on one fateful day he's introduced to a new worker. He is rude and bitter and talks to Mark as if he's held a lifelong grudge against him, but Mark can't help but find the Irishman the slightest bit intriguing. There's something about him. As the two slowly begin to get closer, Mark begins to realize that the stable boy isn't really the rude asshole he plays to be. In all, he's just an undeniable idiot... ...An idiot who might just steal his heart.
