According to wikipedia a Yōkai (妖怪, ghost, phantom, strange apparition) are a class of supernatural monsters, spirits, and demons in Japanese folklore. The word yōkai is made up of the kanji for "bewitching; attractive; calamity"; and "spectre; apparition; mystery; suspicious".[1] They can also be called ayakashi (あやかし), mononoke (物の怪), or mamono (魔物). Yōkai range diversely from the malevolent to the mischievous, or occasionally bring good fortune to those who encounter them. Often they possess animal features (such as the kappa, which is similar to a turtle, or the tengu which has wings), other times they can appear mostly human, some look like inanimate objects and others have no discernible shape. Yōkai usually have spiritual or supernatural power, with shapeshifting being one of the most common. Yōkai that have the ability to shapeshift are called bakemono (化物) / obake (お化け). Japanese folklorists and historians use yōkai as "supernatural or unaccountable phenomena to their informants". In the Edo period, many artists, such as Toriyama Sekien, created yōkai inspired by folklore or their own ideas, and in the present, several yōkai created by them (e.g. Kameosa and Amikiri, see below) are wrongly considered as being of legendary origin.

This story take place directly after a failed genocide. Frisk feels like she is a horrible person as she struggles to save all the monsters again, and is ashamed to show her face to Sans. She pushes all her friends away from her believing that they would all hate her after what she did. Sans is conflicted with his feelings. He had good memories with Frisk, but could he forgive her after what she did?? IMPORTANT: Frisk and Chara are both female in this story. Sans can remember all past timelines, so he remembers Frisk's genocide perfectly. This is a Frans story, so if you don't like this ship then don't read the book. Frisk is not a kid in this story, she is around 16. Chara is a couple of years older than Frisk. Sans is a little older than Chara (also he's a monster so why are we questioning age?).
