Survival is all about rules. It's really very simple. Follow the rules and maybe you last just a little bit longer than most other people. These rules are harsh. They are cruel and unforgiving. You might not like them. Hell, you may hate them, but the fact is you must listen to them. I don't really care if you think that's too hard. I don't care if you believe me and I don't care if you think I'm just being a hard-ass. Go right ahead, think that if you must. The rules still stand. Sit there and deny all you want. If you think you can do it better than me that's fine, just don't come looking for sympathy when things go south because you didn't follow the rules. Looking at you I already have my reservations. I just get this feeling that you aren't going to even listen to the rules. But I'm tired of watching people die of stupidity so I'm going to teach them to you anyway. Listen to my story, I'm only going to tell it once. Then, you can follow the rules if you want to. ***This story contains strong language and some sexual references but nothing explicit*** Copyright © 2017

All he wants is to quietly explore on his own without having to deal with other people. Unfortunately for him, there's a few problems with that plan. Not only did he choose a class that's in high demand, but some players just won't take no for an answer. And the game NPCs? They definitely have a mind and an agenda of their own.

It's getting worse. Not now. Why now? It's been dormant for weeks! Naomi thought, squeezing her hand repeatedly into a fist to try to suppress the faint tingling in the tips of her fingers. It was in vain, just as she knew it would be. Once the tingling started it wouldn't stop until the Shift was complete. Please stop, she thought helplessly. Not now, not today! She rounded the last corner and saw her house at the end of the street. The driveway was empty, which meant Naomi's father was still at work, as she knew he would be. The lawn was in desperate need of trimming, and Naomi nearly tripped over one of the garden gnomes decorating the yard that the long grass obscured from her view. The bronze numbers on the front blue door were fading and needed a polish, but Naomi paid them no mind. She dug her key out of her pocket, inserted it into the knob, and slammed the door safely shut behind her, panting like a dog. She barely had time to celebrate that she had made it home in time before the last bits of her feet were swallowed in the tingling feeling and the Shift began. ~~~ Cover by the incredibly talented @mahana258!!!

Since the ages before time was measured, the angelic races have existed. Unseen by our eyes, they move through creation, shaping our world, sustaining our existence, and battling demonic hordes. But the war is changing; the battle lines are expanding into new frontiers and the next epoch is emerging. Centuries after the first humans were exiled from their home, their descendants have pushed eastward into a prehistoric wilderness. In a land shrouded by mist and superstition, primitive tribes struggle to establish new civilizations, unaware that their world is about to change forever. Weary from unceasing conflict, Sariel-legendary warrior of the Eternal Realm-crosses into the Temporal in search of the only one who can bring him peace. But he is not the first; others have already begun their inhabitation. As the dominance of their kingdom spreads, threatening to engulf all of humanity, Sariel finds himself standing between his own kind and the one he loves and must embrace the life he abandoned in order to secure her freedom. In this riveting prequel to the bestselling Awakened series, Jason Tesar sets in motion a sweeping fantasy epic birthed at the very foundations of mankind, when our prehistoric world collided with supernatural forces, spawning an age of mythological creatures and heroes.

"They say that before you an I had ever existed there was a kingdom and within its borders a world of magic." "And what happened to this kingdom Mama?" The older woman hummed softly, braiding the childs hair with gentle fingers, "The kings and queens of the surrounding realms saw danger in this kingdoms residents, for you see, it was the only land where magic resided. Together the waged a war against the potential threat to protect their subjects. The war was long. But eventually the kingdom of magic was purged." The little girl peered up at her mother, wide eyed, "but what of the men and ladies who use magic today?" "There were few that were spared in that war. the magic users we see today are their decedents. They side with kingdoms as they see fit and aid us." She peered at her reflection in awe, "All of them?" At this her mother gave pause, "...no, not all. There is one who claims no alliance. She is an ally to no kingdom." The child wrinkled her nose in confusion, "so she helps everyone?" "No..this sorceress is not kind like the few you have met through your father. She wishes for nothing more than destruction." "why?" "No one knows my dear child. Nor do we wish to cross paths with her even if it means to discover why." "But..wouldn't it help to ask her?" "It is not that simple dear. one day you will understand." The child hummed a bit, "okay." The room plunged into silence. "Hey mama?" "Yes dear?" "What is that ladies name?" The mother shook her head slightly, "No one knows, not really. She is shrouded in darkness, her identity a mystery besides the rumors that float around her. But they call her Sin." The little girl cocked her head to the side, "and what did Sin do with her magic if she didn't help people with her power?" At this the mother blanched, "She became the greatest assassin that ever lived."

It's been five years now and I'm old enough to enter the square, eligible for the wizard. Although no one believes it will be me. I am the Fowler's daughter. not even borne to him by blood. An unknown girl found on the streets. And I am not beautiful like the girls of Lasireen. I am not one of the pretty girls they sing of in the town by the sea. I do not have to hope it will be the girl to the right or the left of me. Because I know. not even a blind man will pick me when faced with the girls of Lasireen. ~~ A/N See full description inside because wattpad is evil and i always go at least 150 characters above what I'm allowed >.<
