"I don't care how many times I have to tell you that you are more than enough, that you deserve someone to make you happy and to love you and that I'm so grateful that I'm the one. Or at least I hope I am. But you need to stop thinking the way you do. Just stop it. Drop it. End it. Delete it. Never say it. Never think it. It will only hurt you in the end." he removes his hand from my mouth, his facial expression smoothing after he got things off his chest Skylar thinks of himself as worthless, useless and not likeable and being deaf didn't exactly help with his judgment. Micah was much of an oddity. He was the kid that would compliment people who insulted him. He'd hold doors open for those who slammed them on him. He had no friends, but he was perhaps the friendliest person there was. The boy's gentle nature made him an easy target for bullying. He wouldn't feel so lonely if he just had a friend, but he didn't. He would do anything for a friend, just one single person to confide in and talk to. Though Micah did not necessarily understand that doing anything, would mean accidentally summoning a snarky, short-tempered demon named Raem. What's more is Raem wants nothing more than to find a way to get back into to hell. No demon would want to be latched to a weak human. Not to mention, the kid is the strangest human Raem had ever met. Humans are selfish, self-indulging beings who dream of money and power. What airheaded fool summons an otherworldly being, simply to ask for its friendship? Will Micah and Raem ever be friends? Or perhaps something different, something a little more intimate?
