When Peggy stays in Los Angeles after the events of the Lady of the Lake Killer, she hears news that Chief Sousa's engagement with Violet is back on. For some unknown reason, this breaks her heart and she leaves the building, flustered and embarrassed. There, she is kidnapped by an old foe, only for Daniel to find out. Does he return home to Violet and spend long sensual nights with her and forget about Peg? Or go on an errand to save Peggy?
