In a house full of insane murderous creatures, it was easy for Toby to get lost in the background. Not nearly as important as most of the other members, nor as enjoyed and fun, Toby's demeanor changes as time goes one and he realizes that no one needed nor wanted him around. As Toby's thoughts get even more dark, he finds himself in the adventures a lifetime, that might, or might not, change how he views the world.
