She does try to help some because she pities him. Keith doesn't like to talk about the abuse so he keeps quiet. The only person who knows is his best friend, shiro. Keith prefers to keep to himself and only talks to shiro, but that changes when shiro drags Keith along to a group get together and lance gets curious. Now his already short life span has been shortened, wearing down on his mind.
