This is a short story to all freshman thinking about joining marching band. Not only is this only a guide to survive marching band but there will be some tips and pictures as well.

"I knew it the second I laid my eyes on him. The way he chewed his gum in such a nonchalant way, with lips smacking like he wanted to wake the dead. He had dirty hair falling vulgarly against the side of his face and he stank like dry gin and old cigarettes. He was everything I wasn't. He was loud and messy, I was quiet and tidy. He was impulsive and unmerciful, I was hesitant and forgiving. He liked to bleed but I wanted to heal. He loved the sin, but I was pure. Gerard Way, the saddest sap at Belleville High School, is caught crying in the bathroom stall by the one and only Frank Iero. It's then, in the ever horrid high school bathroom, that an unlikely match is made.

Frank Iero is your average awkward high school student, who is doing what he can to pass his classes, and get out of that place as soon as possible, no true friends, but no true enemies as well. Gerard Way is your not so average high school student, he's very weird not only personality wise, but appearance wise as well, usually wearing darker clothing to contrast his extremely pale skin. Seriously, his skin is paper white, people actually think he's a vampire. But what if he actually is?

Gerard Way is a virgin. A pathetic, gay, red-haired little virgin. But he was okay with that. People in school avoided him, hell, they didn't even know who he was, and that was how it was. Until a good 'friend' of Gerard's started a rumor. A rumor that was bound to destroy everything Gerard had come to know, and even a little more in the process. Nothing good could come out of this situation, or so Gerard thought. But a certain boy with converse and a lip piercing would beg to differ. (Ok I suck at writing intros. The story will be better, I promise...)
