He is an odd fellow, relates more to animals than any other living creature- but he is genuinely kind, and will be able to assist Kyja in the following years. Radagast the Brown is his name." And so, the journey begins. Far into adulthood, Kyja is introduced to a completely new world when Gandalf proposes an offer- to join a band of dwarves to help them save their homeland. Haunted by past memories and scars, the skin-changer is forced to come to terms with her own history while accepting the new fate she has been given. Years later, Gandalf calls upon Kanilia to help a band of dwarves reclaim their home which has been overtaken by a dragon called Smaug. The only female in the group, Kanilia is instantly deemed an outsider. However, a hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, who is also part of the pack, seems to have his skills doubted as much as Kanilia's. All odds against her, Kanilia struggles to gain the respect of the dwarves while doing everything she can to help them take back their rightful home which was so viciously stolen from them.

A girl from the northern kingdom of Forodwaith travels down to The Shire to join the company of dwarves on their adventure to reclaim their mountain. She gets more than she bargained for when she locked eyes with the dark-haired younger brother the first night
