Five strikes. That's all The Council lets you have. Then.... well, no one actually knows what happens. None of the boys have ever met someone with five strikes before. That scares Jack who, at seventeen, already has four of his. He can't remember how he got them either, but he's determined to figure it out. And when he and his friends learn what The Council has been doing to them they make it their mission to put an end to the group... once and for all. The strike was over and things in the Bronx had been... taken care of, more or less. So why did Race feel like this was the beginning of another uphill battle? Jack's growing up and making plans to leave and the leadership role he'd occupied for so long was now being thrust onto Race. And now, not only is Race stuck managing in a position he'd never wanted, but the other boys are beginning to think about their futures too. It seems like all of his friends are moving on and ready to leave, but Race isn't ready for that. He just wants things to stay the way they were. But sometimes things have to change and these boys really can't catch a break. Soon Race is dealing with more troublesome outsiders all while adjusting to his new role in the group. Mr Pulitzer has been collaborating with Snyder to kidnap Crutchie. Now it's up to Captain Jack, with the help of a newbie superhero Davey, to save him. Can the Newsies save Crutchie and stop Pulitzer and Snyder to fulfil their evil plan? Whatever that is...

When something unexpected happens during the newsboy strike, will Jack and the other newsies be able to fix the situation? How will they react when they find out that helping some of their brothers is going to be harder than they thought? And will Jack and David be able to help when they hit bumps in the road? A quick note: I started this (3/7/18) when i was a sophomore in high school, so my writing isn't at all up to par. Constructive criticism is appreciated! Katherine, a reporter for the New York Sun, finds the story that will bring her out of the entertainment pages and onto the front page: the newsies strike. But, in the process of bringing these boys to center stage, she drags her best friends, Elizabeth and Rebecca, into the middle of the mess. As the strike progresses, the women find themselves in the center of big changes, both in the world around them and in their personal lives. Will they help to make the strike succeed and change their world? Or will they inadvertently ruin the strike's chance of making a difference? And what will happen once it's all over?

So I've seen a few of these recently and I feel like everyone has one??? Like, okay, I'll do one too, why not? I mean, I'm not too interesting but it won't hurt anything.

The strike is over, the Newsies are hawking headlines once more, and all seems right in New York City. Jack and Katherine's relationship is going steady, and they're both very happy. Everything is going their way. But when Joseph Pulitzer finds out about it, will he and the Delancys tear them apart once and for all? Is there any way to keep them together? Can these two prove that love is stronger than anything? (Will be under editing soon.) (Takes place one month after the strike. Jatherine fic. The cover photo is not mine.
