Mikasa's and Annie's life was difficult. Mikasa's father didn't accept their relationship even though they love each other very much. Annie's father abused her due to the fact they were dating. Annie always cut herself because of her father not accepting her relationship. This all changed when the couple adopted a child without their parents consent.
