Frank Iero was an average man who cared for his daughter, Lux. His daughter was his best friend - probably his only friend. Gerard Way was a successful man that carried a lot of baggage; although, nobody knows what deep secrets he carries. He had it all: a beautiful fiancé, fame, and fortune. Frank and Gerard were more than friends during their childhood. However, things changed when Frank ended up pregnant with Lux. Gerard wasn't ready to be a father and left, breaking Frank's heart. Frank was only a teenager, but he grew up; he had to, for Lux. Years passed and Gerard decided it was time to right his wrongs, but he never expected becoming a new "father" to a teenager would come with a price. This is "Life Unexpected."

Gerard writes a lot of Frerard fanfics. He's actually a very well known "fangirl" in the MCR fanfiction fandom. Frank however, loves reading Frerard fanfiction and does it all the time. Little do they know that Gerard writes the fanfics that Frank reads.

For someone who was supposed to be in the closet, he was doing an awfully bad job of it. Frank Iero was Gerard's favourite punk ass skater dickhead, that he was currently working on eternally denying to himself the crush he had on Frank, which totally didn't exist of course, but Frank was really cute, and Gerard was really stupid; stupid enough to think that he could totally pull off pretending to be a girl in order for heterosexual Frank Iero to fall for him. Surely, this was truly the worst idea Gerard Way has ever had.
