In fact, he himself couldn't understand why he had never been afraid of the other. But lately there had been an inkling of emotion, perhaps a little unpleasant whenever Shizuo walked in the room. It was something that could resemble fear, he realized, but the word left Shizuo's lips before Izaya could dare to think it. Shizuo was tired of dealing with those bastards that pissed him off almost everyday, so he took the day off and decided to take a walk at night. He remembered something he should have remembered earlier. He had a peaceful day, he hadn't seen the flea for almost twenty-four hours, but that's exactly what felt wrong. He didn't even stop to think twice before rushing to shinjuku to try and find the flea, so he could beat him up. But it seemed someone did that before him. He found him, lying on the cold floor, covered in blood. Beaten up. He noticed the small sparkles falling from his eyes, down his bruised cheeks. Orihara Izaya was crying.
