Kiki Call was your average Quilette girl. She had the wolf genes, the thick black hair, brown eyes, her skin wasn't quite russet like the others, but it was close. She refused to go to the Res School like her brother and the pack, she went to Forks with the palefaces. She fit in, seeming she was pale for Quilette, but when the Cullens came to school- she acted a lot different. She was always angry, the Cullens made it worse by taunting her. Even though it was against the treaty. It made matters worse when she was paired with one for a project, and neither of them could get a different partner. That had also made Kiki's seventh suspension that year. She got into fights when people made her feel threatened. Some of the fights were with Cullens, most of them were people who backed her into corners. When fall rolled back around, things started to change.

Unlike her brother, Callas was never really phased by the legends that their tribe had brought them up on. She couldn't really remember much of the stories anyway, being so young when their father took them out of La Push to live somewhere else, after the death of their mother had taken a toll on him. But returning once more, ten years later, with Reed being almost twenty and more able to look after his sixteen-year-old sister, he falls back into the comfort of the legends and myths of the tribe. Maybe too comfortably. While Callas sees it as an opportunity to finally be back to her roots, back to her loving grandparents and ageing dog, and to finally feel like she belongs. Callas wasn't the type of person to mind moving, having done it for over half of her life. So, transferring to La Push High School wasn't weighing heavily on her mind. But accidentally bumping into a group of russet-coloured skinned boys, while in her own mind, did. Her connection to the boys was almost instant, which put Reed slightly on edge.
