"Promise me that you will take care of her." Those were the last words that squad leader, Hanji Zoe had heard from her younger sister, Anna, before she gave up her last breath. "Don't worry, Anna, I promise you that I'll raise her as if she were my own." She vowed to the blond who was now laying still and lifeless on her deathbed. She heard a shrill cry of a child and walked over to the wooden crib beside her sister's bed and picked up the newborn baby and began to rock her gently, "Shh, its okay, auntie Hanji's here, auntie's got you. I promise you that I'll take care of you." The blond child finally quieted down, Hanji looked at the now sleeping infant in her arms. "I'll make sure that nothing ever happens to you." Many years have passed and it seems that the promise that Hanji kept was entirely forgotten, she gave her niece to the child's father, who willingly took the child. Little did she know that her promise was already broken when she gave the child to him.

After waking up from dying in his sleep, Levi questions what he should do with his life. On top of that, he's gained an unwanted friend: Dr. Hanji Zoe, who was present when he woke up. Everything points back to him rejoining the Survey Corps, but he can't deal with the PTSD attacks alone, so Hanji comes along. It doesn't take Levi long to realize that he needs Hanji as more than just a doctor, but Erwin thinks differently, and will do whatever it takes to make Levi the soldier he used to be...

Professor Levi is the English teacher at Legion Academy who is reserved and strict... Hanji and Levi start to notice feeling growing between them. Levi doesn't understand how to deal with these feelings and Hanji just dosnt bring it up, worried it will ruin her work. I do not own Attack on Titan or any of its characters.

{UPDATE} *I could add another chapter to give a better ending, but if I get comments about it, I'll do it, PROMISE!* At a wedding for Erwin and Jasmine, Hanji was the bridesmaid for Jasmine and Levi was Erwin's best man. They hardly spoke to each other during that wedding, but when Jasmine throws her bouquet of flowers, Hanji catches it and bumps into Levi. I guess you can say... it was love at first sight.
