This is my take on the idea of a Varian spin-off series of Tangled: The Series/Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure. The AU was presented to Disney by storyboarders Kay Ritter and Anna Lencioni who took a liking to Varian's character and decided to create a story for him in his later years; detailing the adventures he might go on and the friends he makes along the way. Someone with a strange vendetta against "FBI agents" takes action to get his revenge... In short Reid kidnapped on the anniversary of the Hankel abduction and the team struggle to help their endangered friend once more.

It's been two years since Spencer was taken away from his friends and family, kept in isolation and terror until finally giving in. He's happier, less panicked, able to enjoy himself a little more. He started work again after a year, still has nightmares but they're not as often. That's when the team is called to LA, all of them.
