I'm scraping this book since previously it lacked an interesting aspect that I've come to both acknowledge and love. Though works exploring this aspect are scarce, I've found a few to be inspired by. So let's get started with the fanfic's description... Teaser: After a year's break, Tord reentered university, finding himself seated beside none other than Thomas Ridgewell. He groans in distaste while averting his attention towards the lecturer. "Right, we're covering 'Slavery' this semester..." As the History lecture progressed, Tord caught himself dozing off a couple times. Fixing his posture, he decided he's had enough. Before slipping his phone under their desk, he glances over at the Brit. Thomas paused with taking notes, giving the twin-horn the side eye. Ignoring Tom, Tord opens the group chat Edd had created earlier that month. Scrolling through the messages left by the two, a notification pops up. He shifts his gaze over at the Jehovah witness, noticing the fork switch his phone off. The notification read: "We need to talk." Please note that this book is heavily inspired by both Tsushiko's work, "Zettai, Fukujuu Meirei" as well as Hokosin Cai's work, "Antinomie" which is a parody of the "Boku no Hero Academia" manga, both written and illustrated by Horikoshi & Kouhei. David tried not to remember the horrible things that the kids had claimed Daniel had done. Deep down, he knew what was going on, he wasn't THAT stupid to not pick out the obvious fact that Daniel wasn't exactly what could be labeled a 'good person'. David always was the one to try and see the best in people though, so David took upon the thought that maybe Daniel could be changed. That being said, instead of leaving things off the way they had ended with Daniel going to the hospital, David made sure to write him nearly every day, occassionally sending flowers as well. When he found out his letter's were no longer being sent, he got worried. He wanted to help Daniel, and maybe the letters were doing just that. But how was he supposed to do that when he didn't even know where Danial was? But before David has too much time to worry, a certain someone shows up at the camp. And let's just say... David finds himself a bit more tangled up with the blonde haired letter reciever than he ever thought he would be.

David was sweet, and he was very kind. Daniel loved David's perfect state of mind. When Daniel purposed, David finally felt complete. He thought his happy nature, now couldn't be beat. With Daniel his husband and Max for a son, David was sure all his struggles were done. David being yet as innocent as a fawn, just couldn't see Daniel's cult thoughts weren't all gone. Daniel could prove that he's as good as David believes. Yet he could also be what shatters David's 'Happy Family'.

It's the end of camp, and David decides to take in Max after he notices how terrible his parents are. Of course his parents were willing to give him up for nothing. When David brings Max home, he thinks it's going to be amazing, but it's not all he thought it would be. For both of them, this whole new situation is new. David has never been a dad, and Max has never had someone who showed as much attention as David is doing. Both of them are overwhelmed and stressed out about every thing going on. Of course, Max tries to keep to himself and David tries to help no matter what. Maybe they will both realize how to help each other and might become the family Max needed and David wanted all along.

This is the last week day at Camp Campbell and max is dreading the week to be over. When his parents show up early and they find out what's happened at home, what will they do? Where will Max go? Max has been in foster care for about a year. Once he got back from Camp Campbell, his parents threw him in. David goes to the foster care building one day and sees Max, and you probably know what happens from here.

After Parent's Day, there was still half a summer to go. Most everyone had been back in a good mood after getting to see their parents again, but Max was still his own self. David thought about this a lot. Then again, so did Gwen. It kept both of them awake for all hours of the night to think that one of their campers had a family that couldn't even bother to sign their son up for an activity, or to show up for Parent's Day. The camp got happier, Max didn't. As he got worse, the others became happier, and the counselors more worried.

max's parents forget about him at.camp, David takes it upon himself to make sure max is safe. And that means taking him in.
