Keira thought she was just tired. Clinically depressed, maybe. Until creatures started hitting the classroom windows. Until black liquid appeared on the glass. Until something attacked her in the school yard and no one else saw it happen. No one else can see the creatures. Except Famire. Famire says they've been following him for a week. Now they're following her too. They don't know what the creatures are. They don't know why they can see them. And they definitely don't know why the creatures seem to have a grudge against them. But the answers would come very shortly.

In the quiet of the night, a slow melody starts to play. Claire finally picks back up on playing piano and starts sneaking onto campus at night to play to herself. However, she doesn't exactly get the alone time she was thinking of. Elias is a dedicated violin player, practicing until his hands ache. Everything he plays must be perfect, or else it's not even worth playing. One night he stays late to practice, but as he walked to the rehearsal room, he heard a strange melody. The two are complete opposites. He plays a music piece until the end; she stops halfway, never creating an ending. He tries to make every piece perfect; she just lets the music flow. He likes consistency; she likes things that are ephemeral. He believes things are meant to stay; she's convinced everything will leave after a while. The two see everything differently, but when they come together they create a slow yet dreamy musical composition. A 𝙉𝙤𝙘𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙣𝙚

Almost Love is a collection of short stories about the moments where something almost happens - a confession, a first kiss, a realization, or sometimes just a missed chance. These are the conversations that change everything, the late nights, the quiet car rides, the "I almost told you" moments. Because sometimes love isn't about the big moments. Sometimes it's about the small ones where everything could have changed.
