Riley is a 15 year old girl with a family that's fading away. She and her family move to Tulsa after their mother dies. The stress of life without her mother, and practically raising her sister herself is taking a toll on her. Will she want a boyfriend when she meets a special greaser? Or will she think it will just add more stress to hide from others.

Colly is one of ten and the only greaser in the family. She's looked down upon and is losing confidence. She's one of the toughest greaser girls in all of Tulsa. Sodapop Curtis has been her best friend as long as she can remember, but she's starting to feel differently about him. Is she really in love with him? Does he love her back or in love with someone else. Is this the end of their friendship?
