It was hard for both when Kara came to know mon-el was married now and even if she wants she cant have him back, but finally things start falling in place when Imra leaves home asking Mon-El to choose what he wants.. what he wishes. as they both get freedom they needed, their feelings get more lustful over period of time.

Apparently it was Barry's 1st wedding anniversary and so did Oliver's. both thought to have it together as earlier Thier wedding didn't turn well but to be more safer it took place on Kara's earth. Kara was always supportive towards her two evil fighting brothers. With Mon-el being with Kara it was more an ordinary thing for her; with both trying to rob some romantic time together.

Before Mon-el's arrival on earth, though Kara was having many friends, a good family of sister and mother, She always felt something was missing, like a part of her; she always logged to find a soul mate, a lover to whom she can love, with whom she can share everything with, who understands her and to whom she can love.
