What if one day you woke up and discovered that the planet on which you lived and the galaxy in which it resided and the universe in which it was safely tucked away, was but one thread among the infinite tapestry of the multiverse? What if you learned that the fundamental rules of science that governed what was possible, were far more expansive and wildly different than those on Earth? What if you learned that there were doorways between each of those threads? What if you learned that like all important doors, these required individuals to keep them safe? What if these doors were so important that those protecting them needed guardians themselves? What if you learned that you and your younger brother were part of an ancient lineage of such gate keepers and with that awesome responsibility came extraordinary abilities and ever developing powers? What if you learned all of this before lunch on your last few days of Summer vacation, before starting your freshman year of high school.

Book two starts five months after the end of the first one; with Alexander struggling to return to his squadron, and Angela fighting to survive on the front lines without his amazing skills or powerful presence. With the affects of the Eden program plaguing his every living moment, a broken and battered Alexander finds that in order to return to his friends and fight against the alien abominations that have stolen nearly everything from him, he must first survive the most intense and gruelling training the American Military has to offer. He must make it through Marine Corps Boot Camp, a training program designed to destroy young men and women, and then build them back up into one of the most elite fighting forces in the world. His second in command, Angela, however, finds herself stuck out on the front lines with the other members of the squadron as she is now forced to somehow take his place as the Squadron Commander of a tired, and depressed outfit that is down two members. Yet, with the U.N.E. threat pushing against NATO forces and threatening to invade Germany, she and her friends must fight on and give Alexander time to return.

Can these two young officers set aside their differences and pride and do what needs to be done? Or will they falter when it matters most?

Twenty years ago, Garanth's father killed Garanth's mother and cursed the land by opening a passage for the spirits of the Void. Now the spirits of the Void are consuming the spirits of the land in a spreading curse of death. At the same time, Garanth's half-brother, possessed by those same spirits, is leading an expanding army driven mad by fear and hunger, absorbing village after village in a quest for absolute power. To save the land, Garanth must defy his mentor and claim the Seat of Power before his brother reaches it, knowing it will cost him his humanity.

A few writing lessons I picked up here and there by reading, talking to other authors, often learning the hard way (by embarrassing myself) and occasionally advice from professionals. Everything here is presented as-is and is subject to change with no notice--or whenever I realize how silly something I said was. A lot of this is simply reminders to myself of things to remember and/or look out for.

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away... Young Izuku Midoriya is constantly punished by the world he was unfortunate enough to live on due to his unique nature, but a shadow looms. The rest of the galaxy will soon find out about Earth, and what will happen when they do?
