Without hesitation, you start running again. As you round another corner, you notice the broken barricade doors. Confused, you wonder if it was the police-or perhaps the intruder? But if it were the police, there would be sirens blaring, and no one would be screaming for help. It must be the intruder. You have no idea whether they're male or female, how many there might be, or how they managed to break through the metal door. And more importantly, what are they after? "HELP ME! Ahhhh! Somebody Help ME!" You unconsciously move to the desperate cries, pulling you toward the shattered doors. Your feet move on their own, leading you past a corner room. There, sprawled on his back, lies a man-his anguished face twisted in terror. Two nurses hover over him, their hands buried deep in his open stomach, devouring him alive. "HELP ME!" he screams again, his voice raw and high-pitched, like a squealing pig. His head tilts unnaturally far back, his outstretched hand trembling as it reaches toward you, begging for salvation. You didn't move, you couldn't do anything but watch. Paralysis grips you as if the horror unfolding before you have chained you in place. All you can do is watch-watch as they rip him apart, as the light fades from his eyes, as the grotesque feast continues. The crimson pools spreading beneath him seem to beckon you, their silent cries are as haunting as his. The stench hits you next-a sickening blend of rot and decay emanating from the nurses, mingling with the sharp, metallic tang of blood. The air feels heavy, and suffocating, as the splatters of red paint the walls and floor in chaos. Then Another two gunshots, only this time it's fired right behind you.
