Her mother inherited it, but her father didn't. When she meets the infamous Phantom of the Opera, she is oblivious of such a curse. Their common music adoration brings them closer after Christine Daaé is pulled from the picture. Soon, love sprouts in a beautiful blossom. Charlotte is so caught up in her life lifting love that she doesn't suspect such a curse to twist her fate. How it is even possible that she be one is unknown.
