Hi there, this is my first fanfiction, and if you don't already know this about me, I love Phantom of The Opera. This is my take on what should have happened down in the cellars of The Paris Opera house. If you are familiar with the story, this is an E/C story (aka The Phantom/ Christine). It's a small one-shot, and kinda smutty(sorry) and constructive criticism is appreciated! I don't own any of the characters!

We all are lead to assume that before the events of the Phantom of the Opera, Christine was taught by the angel in the mirror. But that's not what happened. Well, not exactly. Before Hannibal, Christine Daae had always dreamed of being able to sing, but had never had the proper training to realize her dream- that is, until she came across an advertisement and soon became an apprentice to a mysterious tutor. Meanwhile, the Phantom wrought havoc upon the theatres of Paris, with a plan in mind.

"Christine, I love you." The phantom's voice played a sweet tune in my mind. It was the first time he had confessed his love, but sadly, I couldn't return the favor. He had given me everything, fame, fortune, and a life of excitement and curiosity. Still, he had threatened to hang my beloved Raoul and sentence me to an eternity locked away from the world. My clammy hands shook with emotion as I slid the beautiful, diamond ring off my finger. The disfigured man helplessly gazed into my eyes, transforming my soul. I was the only one to look past his hideous physical appearance, to know how to comfort a creature of darkness; I couldn't bare holding in my emotions any longer. Tears plunged down my pale cheeks and I looked down to take his hand. Making sure not to drop the small item, I closed his rough fingers around the ring. "Goodbye," all sadness echoing through my word. I spun around and dragged my wedding dress through the foggy water to meet Raoul's awaiting boat. *** UPDATE 2020: Hello, all! I realized that this book recently gained traction in the fanfic world of Wattpad, again. Unfortunately, I wrote this back in 2014 and have yet to go through and edit. At one point, I planned on making a sequel to this. I don't expect to do so any time soon, but I appreciate the reads and the comments!

Christine is invited back to the Opera Populaire as their lead soprano. She's excited to be singing again, but also to hopefully see Erik again. Strangley, she misses him, more than anything. That night before she was wed was a mistake, yet, she doesn't regret it. She longs for it to maybe happen again. Just her and Erik. Alone. Beneath a moonless sky. <3 Other Copyright stuff!

Christine made a mistake leaving her Angel. So she goes to him beneath a moonless sky. But what if Erik never intended to leave? I don't own the Phantom of the Opera or Love Never Dies. No copyright intended.

Complete! Change just one of Christine's actions, and the story turns out quite differently, as the Phantom learns to be human once more and his Angel discovers that love is not always like the storybooks.
