Danny Fenton has just witnessed his parents, friends and teacher die at the hand of the nasty burger explosion. To avoid Vlad and becoming Dan he moves to Happy Harbour, hoping to attend school and have a somewhat normal teenage life. Nothing is normal when the Young Justice team are involved though, especially when they take an interest in Danny.

Dick never knew it, but his parents had another child, worried they couldn't support him they gave him up for adoption. At 20 years old Dick sees a pregnant woman struggle to stand and remembers his mom having the same problems. The search is on.

When Danny is captured by the GIW and his alter ego is revealed, the GIW discover that the reason Danny survived the portal accident and became a half ghost (instead of outright dying) was because of an anomaly in his DNA. When they attempt to replicate the accident on the other Fentons, it's revealed that Danny and his family aren't blood related. The GIW's new objective is to find Danny's remaining biological family. One fateful day, the friends and family of Danny Fenton are ruthlessly murdered. Danny has no place to call home, so he is forced to go and live with a distant relative in Gotham City. Bruce Wayne had met his second cousin Jack Fenton once many years ago, and frankly, he thought he was an idiot, but when his son is left orphaned, Bruce does not hesitate to welcome him into his home. Danny Fenton lives with Bruce Wayne and his ward Dick. All while Danny Phantom works with Batman and his sidekick Robin. Danny eventually joins the Team, struggling to keep his secrets hidden.
