While everyone else passes it off that she must have a high metabolism, Aoi Asahina, the Ultimate Swimmer Pro, knows better. When Asahina questions Akane and her health one night, Akane breaks down and confesses to her bulimic habits, how she eats so much and then pukes, or "purges" it all out in the bathroom. Asahina immediately wishes to help Akane and asks Akane if she can help. At first Akane denies her help, but in the end after a tearful minute, agrees and allows Asahina to help her.
