Once we get to the current timeline, Y/n will be 17, Esdeath will be 34, the current timeline Emperor will be 14) The Empire's recent history is mainly one of decline. This is largely due to the quick ascension of the current Prime Minister Honest, who cared only for his own pleasure. His time had been marked by an increase in government corruption, an economic recession, eroding public order, rampant poverty and great dissatisfaction amongst the people. As a result of the Prime Minister's excesses, there have been numerous uprisings from both inside and outside the Empire that have had to be put down by force. In addition, there have been many defections from the Imperial military, including several generals, such as Najenda, and this has led to the birth of the Revolutionary Army, a group dedicated to the Empire's total overthrow with Night Raid. This is the present. It was different years ago, where the Empire was struggling to maintain itself under the sudden influx of pressure which led to the birth of the Revolutionary Army. Slowly but surely, the empire's forces were being pushed back. It was beginning to look good for the people of the Empire, they were soon to be freed from this tyrannical rain, right? Not if the Nobles and the Prime Minister had anything to say about it. They paused any ongoing experiments that would aid them in their fight and dedicated all of their time and resources to create a Teigu that surpasses all. After four long hard years, the war had come to a standstill whilst the production was being finalised. All that was needed, was the soul of a Dragon, and a Host. That Host...Is YOU!
