It was one of his favorite quotes and one of the reasons he'd named her Sora, the other being her sky blue hair and eyes. He always pushed her to follow her dreams and even supported her dropping out of high school at seventeen to start her own business, Enchanting Treats. Sora and high school, well school in general, had never gotten along. People always teased her; she was always labeled as the weird girl who talked to herself. Of course, she didn't talk to herself, it was just part of her quirk, no one else could see the pesky pixie-like creatures that followed her around everywhere she went trying to wreak havoc and chaos. They were adorable little pranksters and constantly getting her into trouble as they'd make funny faces and gestures at teachers and classmates and she couldn't help but indulge them. Everyone thought her odd because she saw things, magical things, that no one else could.

[Preview] I moved further into the alley and peered behind the dumpster. My heart fell as I strained to see through the darkness and spotted a bright orange cat that appeared to be hurt. It was barely conscious, it's strange heterochromatic orbs struggling to stay open. "Sh. It's alright." I slowly extended my hand toward the cat. It let out a hiss but seemed too injured to move away from me. I couldn't reach it and had to push the dumpster out of my way. The ginger cat flinched and tried to get up to run. A yowl of pain escaped it and it fell back over, too weak to move. "I won't hurt you." I tried to reassure the frightened cat as I gently scooped it up and tucked it against my body trying to shield it from the rain. There weren't any emergency vets anywhere nearby nor a local vet open at this hour. I'd have to try and do what I could at home until I could get it to a vet. The cat slipped from consciousness as I carried it home.

Despite my best efforts to not care or overthink things, I was still feeling nervous for my first day of high school. I wasn't sure what to expect from the coursework, it was sure to be tough. I'd met enough annoying people in middle school and really hoped high school would be less annoying. Luckily, I didn't think that annoying clingy loud mouth was smart enough to make it into UA so perhaps I'd have some peace. There was a bunch of press crowding around the gate making it a little hard to get to school. They appeared to be waiting for something but I wasn't sure what, they were completely ignoring all the students and just in the way. "Shota!" A loud obnoxious voice that threatened to split ear drums sounded from behind me as I stepped through the front gate of UA, past the sea of press. I groaned inwardly. Perhaps if I just pretended, I didn't hear him, he'd go away. What the hell was that obnoxious idiot doing here anyway? How could he be smart enough to get into UA? I was really looking forward to some peace and quiet this year!

Sometimes the people who smile the brightest are the most broken.... Endeavor looked around the conference room filled with his sidekicks. He took a quick mental headcount and frowned. The newest recruit, the UA student he'd offered a work study position to, was late. There was a faint pop above, causing everyone to look up as a petite girl with long snow-white hair and bright golden hued green eyes wearing a skin tight green accented silver bodysuit appeared out of thin air. She glanced downward and let out a squeak as she plummeted toward the ground. Sighing, Endeavor kicked a nearby plush rolling chair across the floor to break her fall. She toppled into the plush chair with a giggle that brought a smile to everyone's face. Her name was Ridley and she was a second year at UA. She had interned with his agency during her first year as a UA student. All of his sidekicks were surprised when he'd offered her to continue working with them. He was even considering offering her a full-time position as one of his sidekicks once she graduated from UA. No one expected him to like the bubbly energetic youth since he often came across as surly and far too serious whereas the youth seemed to be a little bit of an airhead. Ridley was almost never serious, there was always a bright happy smile on her face and everywhere she went she left laughter and smiles in her wake. She brightened everyone's days, spreading cheer and goodwill to all who crossed her path. Perhaps that was why Endeavor had decided to keep her, he wasn't immune to her charms though he rarely smiled she did cheer him up and give him hope.
