It does follow along with the game, but the main focus is the romantic build up between Tav and Astarion. Along with extra bits added into the mix for additional story telling, more opportunities for bonding, and more intimate scenes between the characters as a spark of romance grows between Tav, and the mysterious elf Astarion. Not to mention, more chances for Tav to fight against the wretched evil growing inside of her only known as The Dark Urge. Come along with Tav, and the rest of the party on this adventure to Baldur's gate to rid herself of the mind flayer parasite in her head, as she finds friendship, love, and her own inner strength along the way. It has many of the characters crossing paths in different ways, some more meaningful than others. But primarily, it is a romance between Astarion and the Dark Urge. The tale begins with the two of them embracing their darkest nature, but their developing relationship will ultimately change their thinking and lead them to resist. It's plot driven but does have explicit content. The POV switches between Astarion, Durge, and occasional minor characters. It is written in the third person. There are Sleep Token song references woven throughout the story.
