The two never properly introducing themselves refer to one another as Angel and Ace. When they accidently discover whom one another is, Philip tells Theodosia of his forced marriage to a woman he doesn't love. They make an arrangement. In German, doppelganger means look alike, or double goer. I look at these people's pictures in the newspaper. Can this really be them? Could this really be Hamilton, Laurens, Lafayette, and Mulligan? This is surreal!
