Sadie Monroe has spent four years watching Briar worship hockey while every other sport gets pushed to the sidelines. As captain of the volleyball team, she's determined to make her final season count, even if that means fighting for recognition every step of the way. The last thing she needs is another reminder of everything wrong with Briar athletics, especially in the form of John Logan, the infuriating hockey player who somehow keeps finding his way into her life.
Logan represents everything she can't stand: the attention, the favoritism and the belief that hockey is the only sport that matters. Unfortunately for Sadie, John Logan has never been good at staying away from a challenge. What starts as irritation quickly turns into a rivalry neither of them can walk away from, filled with sharp banter, stolen moments and a growing attraction that's impossible to ignore.
With graduation looming and the future approaching faster than she'd like, Sadie is determined to keep her focus where it's always been: volleyball. But the more time she spends with the boy she swore she'd never like, the harder it becomes to remember why she hated him in the first place.
