James Newman, just an average boy, starts having strange dreams of another world. One day, he wakes up to find himself in a school surrounded by darkness. Eventually, he finds that the school is part of a bigger scheme in order to plunge all the worlds into darkness and bring about something called Kingdom Hearts. James is then called by the dragon in his dreams to be the catalyst to keep the balance of Light and Dark, which keeps Kingdom Hearts at bay.
