"Tayir...", the thing brought out... shocked?... before lunging forward attacking their target: Robin. Instead of the team's usual expectation Robin just stood there frozen in his place eyes wide open behind the mask. It was almost like a freezing spell was used on the young hero by just this one word. *** This is basically happening on earth 16 with a few tweaks and changes. Enjoy. Book 1

It's been a year since terrorists used Magic to destroy the Empire State Building. A year since the world discovered Magicians exist. A year since we had to go into hiding. These days, anyone revealed as a Magician is beaten, imprisoned, or killed. After starting a new life with my uncle, my only goal is to avoid getting discovered. I don't plan on joining the fight for Magician equality. Just like I don't plan on saving a mysterious stranger from my old life. And I certainly don't plan on winding up in the middle of another Magical terrorist plot. Unfortunately, nobody seems to care about my plans. And the more I try to live an ordinary life, the more I seem to find myself in extraordinary danger. ---- Thanks so much to @AmaraAodhfin for the great cover!

A set of chess stands at my bedside table, the white row perfectly in line while one of the black knights already moved. I furrow my eyebrows at the wrongdoing but then remind myself of one thing; he doesn't play by the rules. Picking up the small letter in the middle of the checkerboard, I keep the creeping fear at bay and read the four words followed by his signature, surprisingly neatly written. "Prepare to be checkmated - Nick."

#1 in Thriller /15-05-18/ "I want her", he says in a deep voice, causing me to shiver. His hair and eyes are the same color as the sky at night and his lips are curled up in a mischievous smirk. He reaches out his hand and gently touches my cheek and I take a step back, my eyes full of anger and fear. "Ah, feisty one, aren't you?" I hear him say as he leans in closer, trapping me between the cold wall and his tense body. Copyright © 2014

This is truly the best book I have ever read captain! Keep it up! If you ever actually publish this book, it may go down as a revolutionary work!" -MaxTheDraconian "This book continues to amaze and entrap me in its web... Its beautifully crafted and walks, the finest line ive ever seen, between so many ideas and philosophical debates... How has it not been published yet? It resides alongside my other favorites such as the sword of truth, kingkiller chronicles, and the wheel of time" -Whirledhacker "This monologue is one of the best vilain monologues I've ever read till this day. Kace pushed the redhead against the lockers. "What if I make you scream my name tonight?" His lips skimmed over the pale length of her neck, grazing the edge of his teeth over her collarbone. "Did you know you're the seventh girl this month he's used that line on?" I cut in, leaning my elbow against the locker next to the pair. They both looked up, finally noticing my existence. Red blinked before what I said finally registered in that pretty little head of hers. She snapped back to Kace, obviously awaiting an explanation. For once, his confidence faltered. "I wouldn't say the seventh -" "Oh, you're right - I almost forgot about the twins! That makes you the ninth," I gave her a cheerful smile with a light fist bump to her arm. She huffed angrily and walked off into the other end of the hallway, the obnoxious clanking of her heels fading with each step. He whipped towards me, practically growling, "What the hell do you want?" I smiled. "I thought you'd never ask." ~*~*~ Synopsis inside!
