They are one and deep down, they both know this. Anakin is a Jedi but so is Vader. Vader is a sith lord under the guise of his masters vice chancellor, but so is Anakin. They share the same body and mind. Unfortunately, it makes it easy to be framed. Both entities fight one another to the edge of the cliff constantly, seeking domination of the Chosen one. But there can be no domination when both are equal. It is simply the will of the force. Their 'father' has a funny way of doing things.
