Marinette had just transferred to Françoise Dupont, she was socially awkward and preferred staying in her comfort zone. She had transferred from London where she lived with her aunt, her parents remaining total strangers to her as she had been born when her mother was 15 and not Sabine nor Tom was ready to care for a child, now that Tom and Sabine have gotten older and more financially stable they have finally decided they are ready to care for Marinette. Marinette had not wanted to leave for Paris with them, she believed they had abandoned her, expect she was too socially awkward to say that aloud. It was hard saying goodbye especially to Felix whom had been her light, but she didn't have to worry as they would see each other again soon.
